Mac App: LightFrame Review
LightFrame is a drag and drop oriented picture framing app, which recently got updated to version 2. This update brings a completely new rendering engine that promises improved performance. The new version requires Mac OS 10.6+.
It now includes matte cardboard and fabric textures along with new and improved effects. The app uses a combination of present frames, borders, materials and brushes to create amazing frames for photos, which can be exported in multitudinous formats.
Available for 30 dollars, it includes support for all standard Mac image formats, including support for RAW files. The app also uses GPU of your Mac system to do the processing whenever possible which results in quick previews and fast rendering. The new version allows you to stack various frames in layers, producing ornate framing effects. There are more than 50 present templates that include analog camera effects, and a texture library which can be used for borders, brushes or materials.
