Macbook Pro 2011 15-inch BenchMark
I just received my Macbook Pro (MBP) 15-inch that boasts the new ATi Radeon HD 6750m GPU and decided to do some benchmarks on it. The GPU is powerful and is on par with GPUs found in Desktop PCs. Suddenly, the Macbook Pro notebooks are powerful gaming machines. First benchmark I ran was 3DMark Vantage and blown away by its scores.

As you can see it scored a mind boggling 4444! Oh, and just look at its CPU score – over 18,000! Then I ran Crysis benchmark at 1400 x 1050 pixel resolution. Settings were kept to medium and I was able to get over 50FPS (54FPS to be exact).

More benchmarks to follow. Stay tuned!
update – Just Cause 2 benchmarks. They are looking pretty good!

Update – Here are the GeekBench scores. They are mind-blowing!

Great test. So what drivers did you use? I used the latest ones in my iMac i7 27″ (Catalyst 11.2) and get GPU: 5853 (Radeon 4850) and CPU: 18199 (i7 2,8Ghz). All in Windows 7 64 Bit.
I’ll be getting the 17″ i7 with 512 SSD hopefully soon.
