Acer has introduced the successor to the Acer 721 netbook – Acer 722. The new Acer Aspire One 722 is the latest Acer netbook with 11.6 inch display that sports the new AMD C50 1GHz processor that comes bundled with the powerful ATi Radeon HD 6250 which is fully capable of playing back 1080p videos.

Macles say that this is nothing but an Acer 522 netbook but with a 11.6 inch HD display. It also inherits water drop design on its lid from the Acer 257 netbook. Specs are being said to be identical to the 522. So, the specs look like this – 11.6 inch display, 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, AMD C50 processor, ATi Radeon HD 6250 GPU, 7 hour battery life (due to bigger battery) and 2x speakers (Acer 522 has 1).

We have reviewed the AMD C50 powered Asus 1215B and was very impressed with its performance. Heck, I was even able to get a good 56FPS in Street Fighter IV game which is not bad for a netbook.
