The Lenovo Thinkpad E420 runs a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M dual-core processor, has a 14-inch display, a 320GB Seagate hard drive, and can sustain an excellent 6 hours and 27 minutes of battery life. It also has a great build, with a metal support structure inside which makes for durability and a solid feel. This machine excels at ergonomics. The island-style keyboard, Ultra Nav pointing stick, and extra-large clickpad are all easy to use, and the quality of the speakers is also a pleasant surprise. There are a few other extras as well, such as the integrated 720p webcam and biometric fingerprint reader.
The biggest problems with this computer are the display, which is only available in 20p (1366×768), and which is extremely glossy, and also the battery, which is non-removable. However, despite that glaring flaw, you will be able to get more than 6 hours of runtime on a single charge. Altogether though, this computer is a great value. Read its review here.
