Dell Latitude 6430u Review

Latitude 6430u is the newest ultrabook from Dell that dons a glorious magnesium alloy casing. It has 14.1 inch anti-glare screen, making it perfect to be used in  a business environment. This Dell notebook is just 21mm thick and feature fast Intel processor and SSD drives. Oh, and it weighs just 1.69 with its 3 cell battery.

The housing has a soft touch feel to it and according to notebookjournal, who got their hands on it, say that the surface is resistant to fingerprints.

Keyboard is chiclet type and is backlit that will allow you to type easily in the dark. Palm rest area is decently sized too and the review highlighted that it is actually a good move by Dell by not shrinking the plam rest. Touchpad accepts multitouch gestures like a charm.

Its 14.1 inch matte screen has excellent outdoor visibility but like (most) other matte screens, 6430u’s screen has poor viewing angles. The screen resolution (1366 x 768) is mediocre as well. Battery life is so-so with the 3 cell battery but since it is removable, you can easily swap it with a 6 cell battery.
