Dell has unveiled its roadmap for its ultrabook and Latitude notebook lineup. Dell will be launching three new series of latpops – Latitude E7000, E5000 and Latitude 3000. The Latitude E7000 features touch screen display and is strictly an ultrabook. The Latitude E5000 is a mid range laptop and Latitude 3000 is targeted at the educational, learning, for schools and government institutions.
The E7000 has a 12.5 inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Its specs include intel Core i3, i5 and i7 ULT Haswell processor, integrated graphics card (up to) 8GB of RAM and 128/256 GB SSD drive. It has 3 cell battery; weighs 1.3 kilograms and has a thickness of just 21mm.
The E7440 has a 3 cell battery; weighs 1.58 kilograms; has thickness of 23 mm and features 14.1 inch HD display. Its specs include Core i3/i5/i7 Haswell ULT, integrated graphics, up to 8 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB SSD drive that can be combined with a traditional hard drive with a capacity of 320 / 500 GB. Expect the release date to be sometime in the month of July.
