Chainfire at XDA has ported the CWM 5.5.0.4 to the Samsung Galaxy S3. Keep in mind that the backups are pretty big – ranging around 1GB for the system alone. So, how to flash it? Find it below.

First, get all the files from the links given at the bottom of this post and unzip them. Disconnect your phone from your PC. Start Odin3-vX.X.exe and click on the PDA button. Select CF-SGS3-CWM-vX.X-vY.Y.tar and put your phone in download mode. To do that, hold volume-down + home + power to boot – if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button.

Now, connect your Galaxy S3 to your computer and make sure that repartition is not checked. Click on start and wait for the phone to re-boot. That is it.
