Truth Behind Nokia’s 41 mega pixel smart-phone
Nokia has recently rumored a 41- mega pixel smart-phone. Some say its too good to be true, but in reality Nokia has actually done the unthinkable. Nokia’s 808 PureView smart-phones with a 41-mega pixel camera is expected to hit America soon, thanks to Amazon. The expected price of the phone is though to be around $700, yes that’s quite a lot but what do you expect in a smart-phone with a whopping 41-inch camera installed?
According to Nokia, the camera designed by Carl Zeiss optics, Nokia’s camera producers have created the perfect pure pixel by combining a range of seven pixels into one. The camera is also expected to zoom up to three times without creating pixilation or distortion, a perfect view with a perfect phone.
The phone is expected to give a choice between resolution, photo lovers can choose from a range of 0.667, 5 and 8 mega pixel. The phone is expected to give perfect images in dark environments as well as other phones tend to create distortion and noise in low light environments, Nokia’s PureView is expected to give breath-taking images.
Apart from the 41-mega pixel attraction the PureView phone doesn’t have other attractions. It has a single core processor of 1.3 Ghz and a 512 MB RAM with a 16-GB storage. Nokia is also using its Symbian OS before withdrawing it for the Windows 8 OS. This could be biggest drawback of the phone as users rush to pick up Android and Apple operating systems; in the height of running technology Nokia has pushed its phone back by using the out-dated Symbian OS.
It seems like Nokia is expecting the 41-mega pixel camera to attract consumers towards purchasing the Pure View but the basic argument that lies is why people would pay so much to use a phone that only has a good camera and no internal specifications or breath-taking innovations. If one has to take great pictures they can invest in HD camera, Canon, Nikon and Sony are great examples of these, users tend to buy DSLR cameras for taking pictures, that is money worth spent for a reason but paying $700 for a smart-phone that doesn’t give its consumers what they want might cause this smart-phone to fail in the market.
Apart from this another disadvantage is the connectivity factor. The phone runs of 4G HSPA with 42 Mbps technology but this will work only for AT&T, for T-Mobile users will be able to work with 2G speeds solitary.
The locked version of the phone is going to be available on Amazon and if you’re interested pre-order it as the phone goes on sale on July 8th 2012. As Amazon is the only portal where you can buy the Nokia PureView in America its expected to have a lot of traffic. In terms of competition, analysts can really predict if the Nokia Pure View will make it to the top this year. The 41- mega pixel camera might be attractive but apart from that consumers shouldn’t expect something tremendous.
In times when companies like Samsung bring out phones like Galaxy S3 that delight the consumers, Apple with its Iphone 5 on the way that’s supposed to rave the markets up just like every other time they launch a phone and HTC with its One X, Nokia can’t expect to survive with just one exquisite element in their phones. They need to increase their competency in all factors, from battery life to camera to internal operating software’s and specification, only then will Nokia be able to survive in a market full of delirious competitors.
