HP X2 specs, price
HP has released Envy X2, a Windows 8 tablet featuring a 11.6 inch screen, Intel Atom Z2760 clover trail processor and a keyboard that can be detached when needed. The keyboard dock adds extra ports and extends the battery runtimes as well. The price is set at 849.99 dollars for the base model. Specs wise, it is good enough for getting everyday work done. You get HD screen, 64GB SSD, 2GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, HD front camera (1.3MP), micro SD card slot, 802.11n Wi-fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The dock adds 2x USB and HDMI ports.
The HP ENVY X2 weighs 1.6 pounds (3.1 pounds with keyboard attached). The dock is kept in its place by magnets. HP says you can turn it upside down and the screen still would not fall out.
Asus is also offering Vivotab, a 11.6 inch tablet with active digitizer for just $800, but the keyboard costs extra and is not bundled in the box.
