Benchmarking fans and Nexus 7 owners, you will be glad to know Nexus 7 with new Trinity kernel is able to score more than 7000 points (7130 to be exact) in the Quadrant benchmark test. With the new kernel, the Google Nexus 7 is able to run at 1.64GHz clocks speed while not affecting battery life in a big way.
You can download the kernel from derkernel’s website [link]. Keep in mind that flashing kernel will void your warranty. Also, we do not recommend running the tablet at full 1.64GHz as it can fry it or atleast overheat it. Anything can happen.
Asus TF201 prime transformer and HTC One X also run on Tegra 3 CPU, like Nexus 7. You will obviously have to use bootloader unlocker first on Transformer Prime to load custom kernels and new firmwares.
