Offline GPS Navigation App for Nexus 7
Google Maps is the king of GPS navigation apps for Android out there. However, it is still no good when you want to do offline navigation. Google Maps with offline data cached for a particular area works for some, but we do not recommend it. Here are few that we want you guys to buy off the Play Store.
The one that I like the most is Sygic. Navfree app is great too but its inability to search without having data connection is a big minus. A decent alternative to Sygic is Navigon.
I myself use Sygic and it becomes a more obvious choice as you can just purchase a map pack for North America and then download by state. This allows you to save a lot of space as you can download the places you need at the moment. Also, you can import the POIs from plethora of websites. The voice navigation is amazing too. Just set it to British English and it sounds like a real person.

If you want a tablet chiefly for GPS navigation, then consider getting the Lenovo Ideapad A1 which also offers offline GPS navigation.
